Aries
Ho ho ho! Venus is in your HAUS. That means you’ll be extra attractive to others – perfect time to take a few selfies at Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition at Victoria Miro (until 21 December). With the stars helping you shine brighter, you won’t seem so basic.
Taurus
Focus on personal transformation this month. Major transits are urging you to make big changes right before the new year rolls round. The surreal forms of giant archetypes on view at Tom Worsfold:Models at Castor Projects (until 19 January) will inspire you to rethink and reposition your entire being.
Gemini
This month continues to be good for you, which is exactly why you should challenge yourself to engage with larger social questions, and use your special Gemini ability to see things from many points of view. Rachel Maclean’s film The Lion and the Unicorn is an eye-catchingly grotesque commentary on Anglo-Scottish nationalisms and bids for sovereignty. Playing at the National Gallery from until 3 February.
Cancer
This month sees you taking in the chips, Cancer. For some mentor vibes, hear Alex Swain from Deutsche Bank speaking at the Courtauld Business of Art Society on Tuesday 4 December at 6.30 (book your free place via Eventbrite).
Leo
Leos love to party and your sign is hogging the social spotlight this month. Time to RSVP yes to all those holiday gatherings. If you need more, get ecstatic at the Winter Wonderland carnival in Hyde Park, open all the way through to Twelfth Night.
Virgo
You are rising from last month’s domestic rut and ready for a creative rampage now. Find exhibitions that focus on drawing and process, like Klimt/Schiele at the Royal Academy (until 3 February). Rummaging through the raw material of modernity, you’ll be inspired to focus more on quick sketches than on the elaborate detailing to follow.
Libra
The holidays bring most of us together with our families, whether we like it or not. Luckily for you, this December promises to be an especially harmonious time regarding relatives. Why not indulge in some winter family fun and go see Matthew Kenny’s adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s Snow Queen at the Bush theatre? Performances throughout the first week of December.
Scorpio
Looks like you need to raise your vibes this month, Scorpio. No better way to do that than by checking out the modernist master of vibes himself, John Cage. Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac will be exhibiting Cage’s drawings and musical compositions until 26 January, with a special interdisciplinary performance from his Ryoanji series on 13 December at 6:30.
Sagittarius
Career and love come to you for the rest of the year – why not celebrate by nostalgically looking back on how far you’ve come? The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch is having a Retrospectacular Xmas Party with Is That...It covering the Strokes, Mashing Pumpkins as Smashing Pumpkins, and Matt McKee as Elliot Smith. On 22 December at 8:00, and free for all.
Capricorn
Jesus was a Capricorn, and this month is a time for you to connect with greater love and spirit. Whatever your denomination, there will be some beautiful masses in London’s most historic churches on and leading up to Christmas. St Paul’s offers a free but ticketed performance of Handel’s Messiah at 18:30 on 6 December.
Aquarius
Sorry Aquarius, this month is meh when it comes to family, friends, and love. In fact, the cosmos is calling for you to get your finances in order. If you need more motivation than that, attend the Russia, Royalty & the Romanovs exhibition at Buckingham Palace (until 24 April) and remember how quickly riches turn to spoil when you don’t adequately prepare for what’s coming.
Pisces
Still on a career kick, this month combines your purpose with love. That means you’re more likely to find romance at work... or at school. May I suggest strategically hanging a piece of mistletoe at the Courtauld winter party? Coming up, 9 December.
